A COWDENBEATH man, who attacked his mother by dragging her by the hair, has appeared in court.

In the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court was Scott Walker, 39, of Selkirk Avenue, who attacked his mum in her home.

He admitted that on October 31, at an address in Lochore, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, repeatedly striking and kicking a door and damaging garden property.

He also admitted that on June 22, at the same address, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, acted in an aggressive manner, repeatedly shouted and swore, uttered derogatory remarks towards his mother, threw a remote control at her and pulled her by the hair.

Defence solicitor Selina Mackay said: “There’s a bit of history here involving issues between him and his mother but he now has his own address.”

The court heard Walker was already on a community payback order for a previous offence.

Sheriff Craig McSherry called for reports and Walker will be sentenced on November 29.
