SUNDAY is Armistice Day and marks the 99th year since the end of the First World War and the communities of the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area will be coming out in force to pay their respects to those who have lost their lives in service of their country.
There are a range of services planned at different times of the day.
In Cardenden, the Communities of Cardenden Pipe Band will lead the parade on Sunday morning.
Everyone is asked to gather at the Railway Tavern before the parade departs from outside the site of the former Bowhill War Memorial Club at 10.40am for the service at the Auchterderran War Memorial.
The Cardenden Events Committee has also arranged free hot soup in the Railway Tavern after the service at the Memorial.
