COWDENBEATH hope to have a new manager in place as soon as possible.

Club director David Allan said on Wednesday: "Cowdenbeath now invites applications for a part-time manager or part-time player/manager for the vacant position with the club following Billy Brown's decision to step down.

"Applicants must meet SFA Club Licence criteria with at least a B Licence qualification and salary will be agreed by negotiation".

He added: "We hope to be able to take stock of the number of applications on Saturday and then look to consider these next week.

"It would be good to have the new manager in place by the home game with Elgin City on November 11."

Meanwhile Jim Moffat and John Ovenstone will be in charge on Saturday against Queen's Park.
