EVERYTHING is in place for the Cowdenbeath Churches Working Together Fun Day this Saturday.

The working group organising the event, which is to be held in the grounds of Trinity Church in Sinclair Drive, has finalised the activities that people of all ages will be able to enjoy between 11am and 2.30pm.

Through contributions of ideas from members of Beath/North Church, Trinity and Cowdenbeath Baptist churches; The Salvation Army and the CLoCK Street Pastors, they have a range of fun things for people to do in this first community fun day organised by Cowdenbeath Churches Working Together.

There will be fun activities, games, sporting entertainment, a balloon release, and arts and crafts, as well as a treasure hunt, and there will be some good prizes.

There will be free refreshments and food with the barbecue opening for business at noon.

Said Trinity minister, Gavin Boswell : “Everything will start at 11am on Saturday and we are hoping to see families and people from all age groups coming along.

"At around noon there will be a barbecue and refreshments available and an ice cream van will be there during the day".

During the event helium balloons will be released.

The working group have been given excellent sponsorship from the Morrison's store in Cowdenbeath, and other businesses.

Added Gavin: "Hopefully we will get a nice day weather wise, but even if the conditions are not so good we will hold things inside and the catering will be organised from the church kitchen."

There will pressure on parking space near the church and visitors are asked to keep their cars off the grass areas near Trinity, but there is available space down from the kirk.
