COWDENBEATH manager Billy Brown on Friday completed the loan signing of Ben Stirling from Hibernian.
Ben is a Scottish youth internationalist and will celebrate his 19th birthday later this month.
He is a versatile player able to play both in defence and in midfield.
Last season he enjoyed a spell on loan with Berwick Rangers and the Easter Road starlet now comes to Central Park both to further his own development and to aid the Blue Brazil cause.
Billy Brown has included the player in his squad to head for Elgin today in the League 2 opener.
He said: "We are still short on numbers with Kyle Miller and Shaun Rutherford nursing injuries but Dave McGurn's injury has shown improvement so he may make it."
He also has a trialist among the 18 players heading north.
