COWDENBEATH take on Premiership Dundee tonight in Betfred Cup Group C and will have to do it without 'keeper David McGurn.

The veteran last line dmaaged a calf muscle against Dundee United on Sunday at Tannadice and has left Blues boss Billy Brown with a problem.

While Joe McGovern will take over between the sticks he has to find a sub 'keeper.

He said on Monday: "Dave did his calf late in the first-half on Sunday and it is going to take a wee bit of time to recover.

"Joe will be able to take over against Dundee but we will have to locate a sub goalkeeper."

Otherwise, apart from midfielder Jack Whittaker, who is nursing a broken bone in his foot sustained against Buckie Thistle, Mr Brown will he a pretty full squad to choose from.

He added: "A very difficult game but one for the young lads in our squad to relish and to learn from."

Dundee are battling it out for top spot in the group and with Raith Rovers beating Buckie 6-1 last night Cowden will be fighting it out with the Kirkcaldy men to see who finishes third in five team set-up. The kick-off is 7.45pm.
