THE Cowdenbeath FC family were deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of former youth player Aidan Sutherland at the age of just 20.

Aidan was someone who came through Cowden's youth set-up from a very young age and was highly thought of throughout his time with the club.

Director David Allan said this week: "Aidan played in our youth teams from the age of 14 to 16.

"It was former Cowden player/boss Colin Cameron who originally suggested he should come into the Cowden Academy.

"Aidan was a regular in the 1997s and his attitude and approach were first class. Indeed his coach in his time with Cowden, Jack Martin, still references Aidan and his attitude as a role model when coaching youngsters to this day.

"Sincere condolences go to Aidan's family and friends from everyone at Central Park at this very sad and difficult time".
