A COWDENBEATH man came before Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Thursday for breaching the conditions of his community payback order for a third time.

The original sentence required John Greechan to perform 40 hours of unpaid work but another two breaches took that total up to 80 hours.

Greechan, 28, of Blamey Crescent, previously admitted that on September 16, 2015, at James Court in Cowdenbeath, that he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm in that he did shout and swear.

Defence solicitor, Stephen Morrison, said his client had legitimate medical vouching for the third breach of his community pay back order, but he did not produce the evidence in time.

"The material has now been submitted," he said. "Only 13 hours are left of the order and Mr Greechan has not come to the attention of the authorities on any new matter."

Greechan's community payback order was revoked and replace with a restriction of liberty order for three months.
