FIFE Voluntary Action is pleased to launch the new online directory of employability services developed with support from the Opportunities Fife Partnership, and it will help people in the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area seeking openings.

The directory contains details of over 60 projects and organisations which provide support to people looking to get into work across the Kingdom.

It is open to everyone, whether professional or individual, and is designed to be easy to use.

You can search the directory in lots of different ways: By the kind of support you are looking for: general, young people, health problems and disabilities, sector skills and ‘other’. You can also look by organisation, geography or project name.

There are handy links where different services are provided by the same organisation, as well as information on employer recruitment incentives available to employers in Fife, all of which can assist people from the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area seeking openings.

Gordon MacDougall, chair of the Opportunities Fife Partnership said: “We are really delighted to launch this new online directory of employability services.

"With around 14,000 people economically inactive but wanting a job in Fife, we need to ensure people are getting the support they need, when they need it.”

Paul Murray from Venture Trust said: “I have used the paper directory a lot when meeting up with participants after they have been away on a course with us and thinking about next steps. Wish there was something like it for other areas!”
