A COMMUNITY hub has opened its doors in Cowdenbeath High Street.

The What's Your Beath? drop in centre is part of the town centre regeneration programme and its opening marked the launch of Cowdenbeath Civic Week.

The hub will allow visitors to get up to date information on delivery of the Town Centre Masterplan, give their views on the regeneration plan progress and have a say about the design and use of space in the High Street.

It will also provide information about events and activities and how to get involved.

Open from Monday to Thursday between 9.30am and 1.30pm, planned activities include a weekly education class, a mums and tots' lunch groups as well as a quarterly Cowdenbeath Business Breakfast Club (CBBC).

Volunteers are currently being sought to help set up a community growing project with a painting and planting day planned for June 22.

Anyone able to help, should pop into the hub to sign up.

The next meeting of CBBC, which is designed to provide support and a networking opportunity for local businesses, is scheduled for Monday, June 26 at 7.30am.

Places can be booked by calling Anne Richardson on 03451 555555 Ext 441133 or emailing her at anne.richardson@fife.gov.uk.
