THE Gala Day parade will gather at the Woodend car park in the forenoon and it is anticipated that the 2017 event will be one of the biggest.

It will leave the car park at noon and head down Broad Street before turning down on to High Street.

It will head past the Green Square and move north before turning up Foulford Road and in to Leuchatsbeath Drive and into the Beath High Playingfelds.

The park will be the scene of hectic activities for all age groups and parents should remember that if their kids have a wristband it will allow them to utilise all the rides at the park.

Have you got your wristband yet? no?! here's what's included,

waltzers, miami twister, bungees, climbing wall, 4 kids rides i.e. tea cups, merry-go-round, various bouncy castles, ball pond, quad bikes, 40ft obstacle course, bungee run, gala slides, junior obstacle course, rodeo bull.

The Civic Week Committee's Alex Haddow said: "We'll also have a bike course and army assault course on the day, as well as wrestling and dance and majorette displays.

"Avoid queuing on the day and pick up your wristbands from any of the following locations on the run up to gala day, the RBS branch on High Street, Hallmark, Hugh Black Butchers, Beath Bargain Store, The Factory Shop and Dalbeath Co-op.

"However, the ponies and sideshows are not included in the unlimited ride wristband deal. On gala day wristbands will only be available from the civic week marquee at the park and wristband sales will stop at 3pm on gala day."

Alex added: "The Civic Week Committee members have done a power of work to put everything together and hopefully we will see a massive turn out on the day."
