THE Ladies Day held by Cowdenbeath Rotary Club at the start of May could well yield more than £16,000 for the club's charities fund.
Thursday's meeting heard that over 300 had turned up at the event organised by junior vice-president Marie Shevas.
Dennis Brooks, who was looking after the ins and outs of the event said that so far the profit stood at £16,800 but there were still some outstanding bills to be paid while there was some auction payments still to come in.
He added: "It was a very successful day with everyone having a great day and making a huge contribution to our charities account."
