A COWDENBEATH woman who carried out a string of alcohol-fuelled offences was this week given a chance to prove her offending days were behind her.

Limara Lessells, 32, of White Threshes Road, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

She had previously admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm and shouting, swearing and fighting with her then partner at Dalbeath Gardens, Hill of Beath, on August 14 last year.

This offence was committed while she was on bail.

She also admitted assaulting a man at the Ex Servicemen's Club at Hill of Beath on Feb 2 last year by striking him on the head and punching him on the body.

During the same incident, she also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm by shouting and swearing.

On June 24 2015, at 3 Headwell Court, Dunfermline, she also assaulted a man by pressing her head against his body and striking him on the head and body to his injury.

Solicitor, Roshni Joshi, said all the offences were committed whilst Lessells was under the influence of alcohol and she had now addressed this issue.
Sheriff Derek Reekie said he had taken on board that Lessells had not had alcohol since August.

"These are all issues that have arisen out of alcohol and include mostly family events," he said. "They are not insignificant charges as you will understand, particularly the most recent matter."

Sheriff Reekie told Lessells he would give her the opportunity to demonstrate this was a "passage of your life that is behind you" and deferred sentence for three months for her to be of good behaviour.
