THIS week's Down Memory Lane selection comes from Walter Burt's book 'Kirkcaldy and Central Fife's Trams and Buses.

Walter has been tracing the local buses back from the days of Alexanders through to the Stagecoach age and he has come up with some interesting pictures.

We see an Alexander's Leyland TS7 that could be regularly seen plying the route between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy in the 1950s while the double decker Guy Arab 2 was another which was often on the local routes in the 1950s.

The Leyland LT5A could be seen on local routes in the 1940s and 50s while in 1967 the new Lodekka with the automatic door, regularly covered the route between Kirkcaldy and Lochgelly via Bowhill.

If you have any old photographs you would like to see in Down Memory Lane send them, to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly on a Monday or a Friday.
