NEW Cowdenbeath manager Gary Locke has assembled his backroom team which will bid to keep the club in the SPFL.
Coming to Central Park as assistant manager is the vastly experienced Billy Brown.

Billy is well known throughout Scottish football.  Some will remember Billy in his heyday playing with Motherwell and Raith Rovers.

He subsequently managed Hibs (as caretaker) and East Fife.

Billy was also assistant manager at Hearts for many years and he has a wealth of knowledge and experience.
The new First Team Coach is a real Cowdenbeath hero - Neil Irvine.

Some 25 years ago Neil skippered a legendary Cowden side to promotion.

His leadership qualities and will to win forever endeared him to the Central Park faithful.  It is indeed time for 'The Return of Zorro'.

Said director David Allan: "So let's see some of the spirit of '92 from everyone at Central Park.

"Let's get right behind Gary and his management team and the players and go for it starting from tomorrow night when Elgin City come to Central Park in a re-arranged game".

There is a meeting between the board of directors and the fans tonight at 8pm at Central Park when chairman Donald Findlay and his colleagues will answer questions from the floor.

Coach Neil Hastings' spell with the Club was concluded with Saturday's match at Berwick.

Cowdenbeath FC thanks Neil for all his great hard work and commitment this season.

Added Mr Allan: "We are also absolutely indebted to him for his agreement to stay on this week to take training and the team for the match at Berwick.

"Grateful thanks too to Burton O'Brien who worked closely with Neil this week.  Neil and Burton's efforts were amply rewarded by a great team performance in the 3-1 win.   It was indeed a pleasure to work with Neil at Central Park and we wish him every success in his future career in the game."
