A MAN who repeatedly sexually assaulted two little boys throughout the 1980s in Cowdenbeath is facing a lengthy prison sentence after being found guilty after trial.

Despicable Anthony Walls, 53 , preyed on his victims, who cannot be named for legal reasons, at various locations in Cowdenbeath, between July 1980 and August 1990.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard how the pervert preyed on a 11-year-old boy at a house in the town between July 1980 and August 1981.

He also repeatedly abused another boy at various locations in the Fife area between May 1980 and August 1990. The youth was aged six-years-old when Walls started abusing him.

The victims cannot be identified for legal reasons.

Walls, now of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, was found guilty on various charges on Friday following a three day trial before judge Lord Boyd.

Jurors took just two hours to return verdicts of guilty to charges of sexual assault and lewd and libidinous conduct after hearing the evidence.

Following the verdict, Lord Boyd deferred sentence on Walls for the Court to obtain reports on his character.

Walls, who was placed on the Sex Offenders Register, will be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on April 12 2017.
