COWDENBEATH footballer Craig Johnston has appeared in court accused of assaulting a woman.
Craig Johnston, 22, of Fairfield Road, Kelty, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today (Thursday) where he denied three charges of assaulting the woman.
The first charge is that he assaulted her between April 1 and 30 last year at an address in Dunfermline, and pushed her to the ground.
It also alleged that on September 10 at an address in Kelty, he seized her by the neck, compressing it, seized her by the arm and pinned her down to her injury.
Johnston is accused of a further assault at an address in Kelty, by pulling the woman by the hair and pushing her.
The trial was scheduled to take place later this month but was adjourned to give the defence more time to prepare.
A new trial date was set for May 11 with an intermediate diet on April 27.
