RENOWNED Cardenden poet, Jimmy Sinclair, celebrated his 103rd birthday with a special event organised by the Fife Cultural Trust.

It as organised at Kirkcaldy Art Gallery on Wednesday when Jimmy was guest of honour and presented with a special birthday cake. His family were there to see him enjoy the day.

Jimmy was someone who was a highly talented individual playing with Lochgelly Brass Band and also penning poems about anything he might see.

The Times has been lucky enough to publish many of Jimmy’s poems over the years and to this day his pen is still busy.

Jimmy was delighted to be honoured by the Cultural Trust.
