THIS week's Down Memory Lane collection comes from the Times photographic drawer and covers the past 60 years or so.

One of them shows something which dominated the skyline east of Lochgelly for many decades.

The slurry from the Bowhill Colliery, at the western end of Cardenden, was known as the Bowhill Complex and it eventually returned to rolling countryside, but this picture shows what a massive feature it was.

Then there is the cup winning Lochgelly South Primary School football team from 1966 and then one of the early antenna produced by the Andrew Corporation at their brand new plant built at Lochgelly's Avenue. It is now known as Commscope.

Finally a shot of popular Lochgelly comedian Bert Allan from his days as the Laird of Steelend! That would have been taken in the 1980s.

If you have any old photographs you would like to see in our Down Memory Lane feature send them to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
