POLICE are appealing for information after several windows were smashed in a Cardenden pub.
The Village Inn, Main Road, posted pictures of the damage caused to the premises following the incident, which police said took place in the early hours of this morning.
The majority of windows at the bar were smashed by the vandals and a Police Scotland statement said: "Police in Fife are investigating after a pub in Cardenden was signficantly damaged in the early hours of Monday April 16.
"Anyone who was in the Dundonald area around this time and saw suspicious behaviour, or who has any information about this incident, is urged to contact Cowdenbeath Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0563 of 16th April.
"Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
The incident has shocked members of the Cardenden community, with many posting their disgust on the Village Inn's Facebook page, which itself said they were "disgusted" by the damage caused.
