KINGLASSIE Councillors, Julie Ford and Craig Walker, have secured money to re-instate the grey areas budget. This budget is to help repair roads in communities that are private and have not been adopted by Fife Council.

Commenting on this announcement, Cllr Ford said: "Since being elected in 2015, I have worked closely with residents in Kinglassie who have, rightly, complained about the condition of many of their unadopted roads.

"That is why I am pleased that we have succeeded in reinstating the money needed to repair these roads. Burnside, in Kinglassie, is badly needing attention and I will continue to work with the community to fight for the funding to be directed here."

Cllr Craig Walker added: “I’m delighted that this funding will be made available and alongside Julie will be strongly arguing that the unadopted roads in Kinglassie are prioritised and much needed and long awaited repairs can take place”
