THE excitement of Celtic's 1-0 win over Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League last 32 first leg on Thursday had hardly died down when the John Thomson Memorial party, from Cardenden, arrived in Glasgow.
The winners of the 2017 tournament, Bowhill Rovers, and other players from Cardenden and Kinglassie who took part in the September competition in memory of the Celtic 'keeper who tragically died after injuries sustained while playing against Rangers at Ibrox, in 1931, were able to enjoy seeing the club's Lennoxtown Training Centre and around Celtic Park.
And thanks to Thomson committee man, Mark Cameron, we have pictures of the visit.
