A FATHER has been given a final chance to stay out of prison after failing to complete a community payback order.
Shane Easson said financial pressures meant he had hadn't been turning up to social work appointments.
The 21-year-old, of Carden Castle Park, Cardenden, appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court for a review.
He previously admitted that on February 19, 2017, at Carden Avenue, he did behave in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm in that he did shout and swear and threaten to smash the windows of a car belonging to his former partner.
Defence solicitor, Gwen Haggerty, said: "He feels it is his responsibility to provide for his family financially, but he knows that he has left the Court with few options.
"When I told him he only has two options, either do the order or go to prison, he said he wanted to continue with the order."
Sheriff Charles Macnair said: "At the time you were given this order I would have told you that this takes priority.
"If you carry on the way you are you will be going to prison.
"However, I am just prepared to give you another chance.
"You will come back in three months’ time for a review and I expect to read a good report."
A further review was set for April 18.
