POLICE in Glenrothes are investigating a robbery which occurred at the Post Office in Kinglassie Main Street, at about 2pm on Thursday.

A masked raider entered the facility and demanded money but was disturbed and made a hasty entrance.

It is not yet known what was taken from the Sub Post Office.

The shop premises which houses the Post Office branch has CCTV and police were yesterday looking at it to see if they could trace the perpetrator.

Meanwhile they were able to confirm that no one was hurt in the incident.

Officers would appeal to anyone in the vicinity of the Sub Post Office to ask themselves the following questions: "Did you see anything suspicious. Do you have any information which may assist. Contact Police on 101 or Anonymously @CrimestoppersUK"

The Post Office is set to move along Main Street to RS McColls at the end of the month.
