HOMEOWNERS in Cardenden were concerned at the erratic behaviour of a neighbour outside his home.
Mark Oehme, 43, of Main Road, was throwing stones at passing cars, which led to his arrest.
Oehme appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday.
He admitted that on Saturday, at Main Road, Cardenden, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and throwing stones at moving vehicles.
Depute fiscal Dev Kapadia said: “The accused went into the street outside his home and was seen shouting and swearing by his concerned neighbours. He was also throwing stones at vehicles as they passed and police were contacted.
“When police found him, he was inhaling the contents of a gas canister and 100 empty canisters were found in his flat.”
Defence solicitor Lee Qumsieh said there was a background of mental health difficulties.
“On Saturday he hadn’t taken his medication and got himself into an excited state,” he added.
Sheriff Derek Reekie called for reports and Oehme will be sentenced on September 20.
