COMMUNITY groups and charities in Cardenden are being reminded that the Infinis Westfield Cardenden Community Fund is now operating as a rolling programme, i.e. groups can apply at any time, there are no longer fixed deadlines.

The fund, managed by Foundation Scotland, welcomes applications from groups who are providing activities or services for people in the Cardenden community council area.

The Fund is provided by Infinis, the owner of the Westfield Wind Farm. Westfield Wind Farm Ltd will provide £37,500 per annum for the life of the wind farm which is expected to be up to 25 years, with the monies being split between the communities of Cardenden, Kinglassie and Benarty.

Rachel Searle-Mbullu said: “Since the fund opened in 2015, we have been keen that it offers a degree of flexibility, allowing it to respond to the needs of the community.

"By removing the fixed deadlines, it is hoped that this change will encourage more groups to apply to the fund.“
