Reunions of retired Bowhill Colliery miners
The photograph on the right was sent to Michael Martin’s Fife Pits & Memorial Book website by one of their regular site visitors - Elaine Tayefeh (nee Millar) from California, USA. Elaine lost an uncle, Alex. (Eck) Millar, in an accident at Bowhill pit in 1932. This photograph includes her uncle Bob Millar (extreme right, back row, see x above his head) at a reunion of retired miners from Bowhill Pit. Elaine thinks it was taken around 1951 or 1952.
