CELTIC manager Brendan Rodgers is pictured with Cardenden's John Thomson Committee chairman Alex Burns during Thursday's visit by the 2016 Thomson tournament winners to Celtic Park and the club's Lennoxtown training ground.
Mr Rodgers was delighted to spend a lot of time with the Cardenden group and congratulated Alex and his committee for the work they do in keeping the legend of John Thomson alive, the young Celtic goalkeeper who had already played several times for Scotland and who died in 1931 from injuries sustained in an Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
