LOCHORE Meadows Country Park is to be the centre of a two day extravaganza which will have something for all the family.

New park manager, Ian laing, this week explained that the weekend of 10th/11th October would see a packed programme.

He said, “On the Saturday Kingdom FM will be broadcasting from the park and giving out goodie bags to children. On Sunday we will have demonstrations of Newfoundland Dogs on the loch and the Fife Farmers’ Market will be in attendance. Saturday 11th October will run from 10am to 4pm and Sunday 12th October from 11am to 4pm.

“Admission is free although donations will be taken on the day to offset our costs. There will also be individual costs for some activities.” He added, “We think this event represents an excellent opportunity for people to kick-off their Christmas shopping by buying products and vouchers from a range of local crafts people and businesses which are not usually made so accessible in a single location.

“The other major advances we are working on just now are a Santas Grotto in the two weekends leading up to Christmas, a complete refurbishment of our less than attractive public toilets and the development of a shop within the park centre.”
