A SPECIAL guest at last Thursday’s meeting of Cowdenbeath Rotary Club was one of the judges at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Ross Capill, from New Zealand, is a cousin of club member Arthur Nevay, from Glencraig, and he told members that he had been delighted to be selected to officiate at the Triathalon events at Glasgow 2014.

He said, I have been involved in the sport for many years and when I got the chance to come to Scotland to be part of the Triathalon competition I could hardly believe it. I must say that the way the Games have been organised has been first class and everything was done to ensure that athletes and officials have felt at home. I was particularly pleased to be able to visit Arthur and it has been a period I will never forget.”
