THIS week's Down Memory Lane comes from exile Jock McKinlay, who now lives in Leicestershire.

As he described it he spent his formative years in Crosshill and said himself to be lucky that his parents gave him a number of pictures of the Benarty area.

These show a picture of the original St Kenneth's Primary School building, which was replaced by the building in Hill Road, Ballingry.

There is also a shot of Lochcraig Church, in Crosshill, which dominated the entrance to the village and was demolished some years ago.

Then there is a shot of the Main Street running into the village and another of some children enjoying an afternoon out.

If you have any old photographs you would like to see in Down Memory Lane send these to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
