THINGS have been moving on a steadily upward curve for Lochore Welfare over the past 12 months.

The North Division junior club had a horrible start to last season when a very young side lost most of their games but bit by bit manager Andy Healy has pieced together a team that has some outstanding prospects in it and their results have improved dramatically this season.

They are in the middle of the table and in the latter stages of the Fife and Lothians and East of Scotland Cup competitions.

Now they have a new sponsor in The Kingdom Group.

Bill Banks, Chief Executive of The Kingdom Group said: "We are delighted to sponsor Lochore Welfare J F C.

"Kingdom's aim is to provide more than a home so through sponsorship of a community based football club we are able to provide added value through community initiatives. We wish Lochore Welfare all the best for the rest of the season."

John Kirkland, chairman of the Welfare commented: "We are delighted that the Kingdom Group have become involved with Lochore Welfare and we look forward to working with them."

Our picture shows the club's promising central defender Kearyn Hicks presenting a framed shirt to Calum Kippen, Kingdom Group governance manager.
