THE team at Lochore Meadows Country Park are hoping that the spring weather brings with it an increase in the number of visitors staying in the park overnight.

Motorhomes have recently been welcomed to the park and initial feedback from customers is proving positive.

So the message from park staff is 'pay us a visit'.

Cllr Linda Erskine, convener of the Cowdenbeath Area Committee, explained: “Offering overnight accommodation to motorhomes has been a relatively new development at the park and it’s great to hear that those taking advantage of the facility have had a good experience.

"We’re keen for Lochore Meadows to develop, and opening up the park to this community is encouraging a whole new group of potential customers to come and see what the ‘meedies’ has to offer.

"Innovative developments like this are contributing to wider ambitions that will help to see Lochore Meadows Country Park reach its full potential.”

Customer Gordon Bryson, from Motorhomer.com added: “I would like to thank all the staff at the country park for the fantastic welcome we received and the helpful assistance we got when asking any questions.

"The park manager even came to make sure things were good with us over the weekend, on his days off!

"Fife Council should be proud of the professionalism the park’s staff showed and my fellow Motorhomer members could not give a bad word regarding the centre and surrounding areas. "Comments were passed about regarding how clean the place was kept even although the park was very busy because of the nice weather we had.

"Well done to the Lochore Meadows team and we would also like to applaud Fife Council for taking this leading step for motorhomes and hope other councils follow.”
