A CROSSHILL woman has appeared in Court for racist behaviour and assaulting her partner and another man.

Claire Turnball, 37, of Castle Avenue, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing on Wednesday.

She previously admitted that on October 14, at Castle Avenue, she did act in a racially aggravated manner which caused or was intended to cause alarm distress to a man, in respect that she did act in an aggressive manner, swear, utter threats of violence and use racially offensive language towards him, and she did commit this offence while being granted bail on four occasions.

Also, on August 25 at Queensferry Road, Rosyth, she did assault her partner and did repeatedly push, punch and kick him on the head and body, did behave in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm in that he did shout and swear and threaten violence and make sexually explicit comments, and did assault a man by slapping him on the face.

Defence solicitor, James Moncrieff, said his client had been assessed as not suitable for a drug testing order, but believed she would benefit from such an order.

Sheriff Pino Di Emidio allowed Ms Turnball's current community payback order to continue and varied the sentence, so it could run for another 18 months with supervision.

A review has been made for April 27.
