THE Sarah Hendry Dance School will be officially one year old in March but in a short space of time has achieved much.

The dance class, at Benarty Centre, has went from strength to strength and they have 25 regular dancers who attend every week, aged from 3-15 years.

Said Sarah: "I have found the parents/carers to be extremely committed and the dancers already have enjoyed performance opportunities within their local community at the Benarty Gala Day, the Santa Parade, Benore Care Home and recently took part in the Benarty Burns event at Graham Court.

"All the dancers enrolled took part in our annual show at the Rothes Halls and all had a great, positive experience.

"This past weekend Paulina Smith (9) took part in her first Highland Dance competition in Denny, where she was placed in all seven dances and came runner-up in both her Highland and National sections."

Added Sarah: "I am very proud of all the dancers and how they are improving in confidence week by week.
"The dancers are now preparing for their medal testing in May and more performing opportunities during the summer months.

"I would like to thank the Benarty community for coming together to make this dance class the success it is."
