THIS week's Down Memory Lane pictures come from the collection of Ballingry man Alex Hunter.
These are about the restoration of the dereliction caused by the mining industry which eventually saw the creation of Lochore Meadows Country Park.
The pictures show something that is still in the park, the Mary Colliery pithead gear but at a time when coal mining was about to end.
Another shows the spectacular scene of the earth scrapers in action on one of the bings, when clouds of dust use to hang about the area.
The other two show the the scene that dominated the skyline with bings so close to property.
If you have any old pictures you would like to see in our Down Memory Lane feature send them to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
