LUCY GRAHAM has been recalled to the senior Scotland women's squad for an international friendly double-header in Spain next month.

The 21-year-old from Benarty will be hoping to add to her solitary cap when she meets up with Shelley Kerr's pool for the games with New Zealand in Murcia.

Hibernian Ladies midfielder Lucy, a former pupil at St Columba's High School in Dunfermline, made her debut for the senior team last September during a friendly in Hungary.

She appeared as a second half substitute in the 3-0 win, coming on six minutes after the break, and almost marked what she described as a "memory to last a lifetime" with a goal when she struck the bar with a fierce drive from the edge of the box.

Lucy was then included in the squad for October's World Cup qualifiers with Belarus and Albania but, after arriving home from Minsk – where she didn't feature in Scotland's 2-1 win – she withdrew from the second match after receiving news that her mum, Ruth, had passed away.

After putting football on the back-burner – only returning to training in the New Year – she was left out of Kerr's last pool for friendlies with Norway and Russia last month, but is now back in contention.

The games with the All Whites, which will be played on Saturday March 3 and Tuesday March 6, will act as preparation for Kerr's team in their bid to reach their maiden World Cup finals next year.

Having won both of their opening qualifiers, the Scots travel to Switzerland on April 5 aiming to make it three wins from three, before hosting Poland at St Mirren's Paisley 2021 Stadium five days later.
