THE Wee Benarty Community has done itself proud yet again.

Santa Benarty and volunteers they all done great work yet again to make sure no child went without at Christmas in the Benarty area.

Billy McKean and Michael Payne done a fantastic job with all the collection and distribution.

Every single person that answered the call for help from Santa Benarty you have all made Christmas a great experience again for so many families.

Businessmen and women like Ian Bruce, Owen & Berenda Buchanan, Harry & Fiona Webster, Peter Mcguire, Jamie Law, Davie & Margaret Young, Andrew Dow, Co-op Lochore, Ore Bank Cafe, Domestic Bliss.

Jason Penman, Derek Johnstone, David Moore, Wullie Stark, Carol Valente, Janet Dunn, BRAG Ent and the Communty Shop are the ones that keep us going with financial and logistical support and supplies. (So sorry if I’ve missed anyone)

The Benarty Fundraisrers took up the Challenge to make a Santa Sleigh for Santa Benarty to do his rounds on around Benarty.

This was a MASSIVE ask from local Businesmen and Volunteers to complete in the little time we had available.

But they did, Stuart Morrison & Alan Gallagher from Unique Joinery and Keith Annandale from Lochore designed and built it,

Wullie Howie & Garry Buchanan, from Wullies Body Repairs Cardenden done a great job in preparing and painting the sleigh with the paint supplied from Ringtone Paints.

Robert Ford designed and built all the great lighting system and helped talk Stuart into the project.

Gordon & Lyndsay Mackie done all the fantastic sign writing and detailing right up to the day before Gordon was going into hospital for a heart operation.

Also Davie & Margaret Young gave us full use of their garage to build the sleigh. Or did we just take it i cant mind noo lol.

They also donated all the selection boxes for the Santa Magic Show for all the kids that attended.

Owen Buchanan & Brenda Buchanan for the 2nd year supplied 100s of selection boxes to be given out by Santa Benarty to all the children over the 3days while going round all the streets in the Benarty Area.

Owen & Brenda Buchanan from OBB Builders Lochgelly are always at the end of a phone for the Fundraisres when we are in need of help.

Sadley we had 1 of our team turn very ill, Stephen Nardone was rushed into hospital so he never had the pleausre this year of meeting the Benarty Community on the new sleigh.

But im happy to say he pulled through and is recovering at home but still very ill

at the moment. We all wish Stevie & Mary all the best x.

With Stevie out of action we found ourselves without a Santa for many of the events. Messages were sent all around the world for replacements and our prayers were answered by Gary Hay & Stewart Colqhoun and what a fantastic job the done.

To all the volunteers, Elfs and Santas and businesses that helped in any way, its only because you played your part that all this could be achieved.

Lastly I would like to thank Scott Bonnar who after watching all the great things that have been happening in his old homeland turned up at my door tonight and presented my kids Jay & Maci with a cheque for £1000 that will go towards the construction costs of the sleigh
