WHILE Benarty Fundraisers have been very busy with their 'Santa Benarty' appeal there are a couple of other events coming up which they are very involved in.

This Saturday, at Lochore Institute, there will be a special day for kids with 'Magic Santa'.

The man full of tricks will have something for the youngsters to enjoy and marvel at.

There are still tickets available for the Magic Santa event. See the Fundraisers Facebook page or contact one of the members of the group.

Also the Fundraisers could be doing with more volunteers for Splash 4 Cash 2018.

That event will go ahead at Lochore Meadows Country Park on Monday January 1 at noon.

Said the Fundraisers James Fotheringham: "We have a good few people already having pledged to take part in Splash for Cash but we could do with a lot more people to get involved and help raise funds for good causes in Benarty."

James also reminded people either taking part in the Splash or going to watch the happenings at the loch side that a collection for Benarty Food Bank is to be held.

He added: "It would be great to see a good collection of foodstuffs for the BRAG based food bank and really any tinned food would be welcomed.

"I would also like to send a big get well soon message on behalf of all the Fundraisers to Stevie Nardone whose illness seeing him out of action is a great loss this year for all the festive events in the Benarty Area and all the groups he supports. Get well soon Stevie."

The Benarty Community Council chairman is recovering in hospital.
