A GLENCRAIG man went to his mother's house with a mallet to get £10 she owed him.
Peter Young, 44, of Garry Park, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court last week.
He had previously admitted that on September 23 at a property on the same street, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause fear or alarm in that he did, whilst in possession of a mallet, threaten to damage property.
Defence solicitor Sarah Meehan said: "Mr Young has learning difficulties but for some reason he had never received professional help.
"He went to his mother's with a mallet when he was under the influence of drink to get £10 she owed."
Young received a structured deferred sentence for three months.
He is due back in court on February 14.
