A LOCHORE teenager ordered to carry out unpaid work for a racist incident was then suspended by social workers after an incident.

Instead, Christopher Roberts, 19, has been placed on a restriction of liberty order for six months which means he has to wear a tag and stay in his Rosewell Drive home every night between 7pm and 7am.

His solicitor, David Bell, told Dunfermline Sheriff Court that an incident at the place where Roberts was carrying out his unpaid work caused him to be suspended.

He had been previously sentenced and given a community payback order for a racially aggravated assault.

Roberts previously admitted, on June 23 at Rosewell Drive, assaulting a man by punching him in the face and acting in a racially aggravated manner which caused or was intended to cause harm and distress to a person.

He also did, without reasonable excuse, wilfully damage property belonging to another by punching and kicking the wing mirrors of a vehicle.

Sheriff Craig McSherry removed the unpaid work requirement and placed him on a six-month restriction of liberty order.
