THIS week's Down Memory Lane photographs come from Benarty exile Hannah Simpson, who now stays in Oxfordshire.

Hannah gets the Times sent to her and found these photographs in a search in her loft.

These show Eddie Henderson, who wrote the book Lochoreshire. Eddie spent many a long day researching material for the book which was published quarter of a century ago.

There is a view of the Glencraig Branch and staff of Lochgelly Equitable Co-operative Society and also Malvenans Bakers from the village. Both were from a time when the coal industry was king in Benarty.

The last picture was taken from Lochgelly Golf Club and shows Benarty Hill looking over the Benarty area taken 60 plus years ago.

If you have old pictures you would like to see in our feature send them to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
