BENARTY Fundraisers can promise a very scary evening if you head down to Lochore Meadows Country Park this Saturday night.

The Spooky Walk takes place at the Meedies and the Fundraisers are hopeful of a big turn out.

Registration starts at 6.30pm at Lochore Institute and there will be a kids party running between at 6pm and 9pm.

Spooky Walk 2017 is geared to raising as much money as can be achieved to help support deserving projects and causes in Glencraig, Lochore, Crosshill and Ballingry.

Said the Fundraisers' James Fotheringham: "The Benarty Community Spooky Walk will be raising funds for Good Causes in the Benarty Area, and sponsor sheets are available now or you can pay on the night.

"It is £10 for Adults and kids over 12 years-old and £5 for 12 years and under and they must also be accompanied by an adult.

"The registration event is at the Lochore Tute Lounge and opens at 6.30pm till around 8.30pm, then you wait for your group's turn to go.

"The last group should be away by 10pm going by last year. "You will be put into groups of 10 and the route follows the tree line around Durward Street and Montrose Crescent then ends at Lochore tunnel.

"The walk should take around 20 minutes with a surprise or two for those involved."

James did point out there will be strobe lights used at this event to 'up and anti!'

James added: "We are also looking for donations of anything that could improve the Spooky Walk so if you have anything of interest get in touch or message us please.

"Volunteers for setting up the Spooky Walk course or being a Spook are always very welcome.

"The spookier things are the better."

Over the past few years the Spooky Walk has attracted people from all over the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area and beyond in what is a superb community event and is one of the Fundraisers biggest cash realising events.
