BALLINGRY woman Magali Christie got on her bike for Cancer Research and a mini tour of Scotland.
Packing a tent, map, cycling computer and some muscle rub, she cycled just over 300 miles in four days for the charity.
Magali, who is French and married to Benarty man James, has lived in Ballingry for four years and “loves the community spirit”.
She said: “I have always cycled. I’ve done several cycling trips including a tour of Scotland, Ireland, the Baltic states and Armenia. It is something I love doing.
“I chose Cancer Research because cancer affects so many families and people that I know and I want to help find a solution to this terrible disease.”
Starting out in Ballingry, she pedalled 75 miles to Tyndrum, in Loch Lomonds and the Trossachs National Park, on the first day.
Magali then headed to the west coast before turning north, tackling the 87 miles to Loch Laggan, via Connel.
The third day was a 75 miles cycle south to Dunkeld and finally it was back to Ballingry, via Dundee, a distance of 70 miles.
She said the trip took her from the Atlantic Ocean to the North Sea and added: “It has been an amazing experience that brought back some good memories from my previous cycling trips. It’s been a pleasure to do it for a great cause.
“It was mainly an easy trip apart from one day when the weather conditions were awful, lots of rain all day with the tent, clothes and everything soaked. I love Scotland!”
