THE National Deaf Children’s Society Roadshow will travel to Lochore Meadows Country Park this Saturday for a family fun day for Fife’s 300 deaf children and their families.
The Roadshow - an eight ton lorry that turns into a classroom - tours the UK raising awareness of childhood deafness and the support available to deaf young people.
The Roadshow team will be at the park between noon and 4pm and offers workshops and practical advice and a demonstration of the latest equipment available to deaf children, including flashing smoke alarms, vibrating alarm clocks and hearing technology.
Mark Gill, Roadshow Outreach Officer who is deaf himself and drives the bus, is looking forward to the Meedies experience that awaits him.
