AN outstanding performance by the Portmoak Primary team saw them winning the 2017 Kinross-shire Rotary Primary School quiz.

This was a hard fought race, with high scores from several other schools too. The Portmoak team took the lead in round 6 and finished with 56 correct out of 60 which is excellent and one of the school's best performances ever!

The winning team will go on to the Area finals in Wednesday April 26 at Balwearie High School, Kirkcaldy, where they will join the Cowdenbeath Rotary Club Quiz winners Crossgates.

There will be 10 teams competing at the Area final, with the top two going forward to the District final on Saturday 10th June at the Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen.

The top 3 teams from that final will receive cash prizes for the purchase of school equipment of £500, £300 and £200 respectively.  So there is a lot to go for!
