THIS week's Down Memory Lane selection comes from one of our exiles.

Willie Thomson left Lochgelly in the late 1960s as the local pits shut down and went to work in Nottinghamshire where he still stays.

He came across these pictures in a pile he says he has of old photos of Benarty and felt these would be of interest to people.

They show a summer parade heading up Lochleven Road the best part of 70 years ago and a Crosshill village shot from around the same era.

The others show a back shot of Waverley Street which shows some of the gardens with their small huts. The last picture shows a delivery man from Farmer's Dairy heading through the village.

If you have any old photographs you would like to see in Down Memory Lane send them to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
