THE residents of Graham Court, Lochore, had a great night on Thursday when the Benarty Fundraisers' Burns Night took place.

There was a full house to enjoy the event with the sheltered housing complex's manager, Fiona Alexander, and staff ensuring that everything was set up to allow the event to flow excellently.

Master of ceremonies was Cardenden's John Gilfillan who also gave the toast to the Bard.

Entertainment came from box player and singer Derek Muir, of Lochgelly, and the piper was Blair McQuade, of Ballingry.

There was music and singing from Lochgelly's Claire McLean and Daniel Nicol of Burntisland; and dancing from the Sarah Hendry School of Dance, with Glenrothes' Morgan Stevenson and Kinglassie's Elisha Scobie.

Orebank Cafe's Gail Bryson and her assistant Laura Jayne Galloway played their part in the success of the evening.

Benarty Fundraisers' James Fotheringham: "Things could not have gone better and I would like to thank butcher Willie Stark for the haggis, Lochore Co-op and Lochore Institute for all their efforts, along with the entertainers, John Gilfillan, and everyone who supported the event."
