THE 60 plus Splashers at the Meedies on Sunday have yielded a total in excess of £5,500 for Benarty Fundraisers.

And with the Benarty Food Bank receiving a number of much needed items it was an all round successful day.

But one of the organisers, James Fotheringham, stressed it was down to the support of so many people.

He said: "The total may well rise a little but we have to thank everyone who spalshed on the day and those who sponsored them.

"Also we were given great backing by the staff of the Outdoor Education Centre at the park, pipers Adam McKenzie and Findlay Shields, the many volunteers who took registrations on the day and Gordon Mackie for putting together signs for the event.

"We also had first aid support from Alex McDonald, of Burntisland First Aid Services, and James Glen and Linda Holt for videoing the Splash from all sorts of angles.

"In addition we saw Ian Bruce and his wife Margaret of Vernicom Environmental and Elcipse Hair Salon for their donation of £50 to the Food Bank and also the Food Bank for providing hot mince pies for the Splashers".
