A Ballingry man has been sentenced again for offences committed three years ago.
Kieran Lorimer, 26, at Capledrae Court, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from jail. He had been remanded in custody last month for breaching his restriction of liberty order.
It had been imposed for offences committed on November 28, 2020.
He admitted that at Abbotsford Road, Lochore, he repeatedly attempted to set fire to a quantity of newspapers stacked against the shop doorway. He also wilfully set fire to newspapers within a rubbish bin whereby the fire took hold, causing damage.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said: “He now appreciates the importance of complying with court orders.”
Sheriff David Hall said: “There’s a lot of breaches here."
He imposed a new sentence of a community payback order with 100 hours of unpaid work.
